Woman injured in Koreatown apartment fire
A woman was injured when a fire broke out at an apartment building in Koreatown on Sunday afternoon.
The blaze was first reported just before 1:10 p.m. in the 150 block of N. New Hampshire Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Crews were able to quickly contain the fire, which was extinguished in just over 30 minutes. They held the fire within a single unit on the fourth floor of the five-story building, according to a press release.
The injured woman declined medical transport for injuries suffered in the fire. The nature of those injuries was not disclosed.
An arson suspect was briefly detained at the scene, but Los Angeles Police Department officers said that they did not make any arrests in connection with the cause of the fire, which remains under investigation.
